NSC After School Program – Part 2

We visited RCCS again and taught the middle schoolers about neuroplasticity. Students participated in a short discussion on the basics of neuroplasticity, and then students worked in small groups on three tasks: creating a neuron with clay, trying to adapt to visual distortion goggles by throwing balls to each other, and experiencing a ‘phantom limb’ through the use of rubber arms. We’re excited to return in the spring semester to work with these students again.

Thanks to the excellent Muhlenberg students involved in this program: Erin Beebe, Liana Magaliff, Sapir Mashiach, Crystian Massengill, Bailey Roberts, Ellen Shephard
