Neuroscience majors at Muhlenberg College visited Roberto Clemente Charter School (RCCS; Allentown, PA) to introduce and reinforce neuroscience concepts with middle school students. During our first visit, we met with a packed lab full of middle schoolers. They were excited, and a little nervous, about dissecting sheep brains. Students learned about basic neuroanatomy, dissected sheep brains, and each got to hold a real human brain. The students were excellent – smart kids who were excited to have this experience. We’re excited to visit them again next month.
